The Big Coloring Book of Vaginas is listed #19 out of 100 of the best humor entertainment books according to reddit!

We’re pretty proud of that! When I first illustrated the coloring book I wanted it to be fun and bring people together and also show the beauty of the body. I illustrated the book while watching old movies like Casablanca, To Catch a Thief, and Rear Window (how appropriate!).

The phrase on the back, “Can I tell you a secret? Every woman has one” was an hilarious realization I had with a good friend of mine that some women almost seem to want to not admit they have a vagina. But when the book was released the comment I heard a lot was how weird some women feel about theirs and how empowered they felt with the Coloring Book. It certainly makes me happy to hear that!

I’d also like to address a comment I hear a bunch: the difference between Vulva and Vagina. Yes indeed, the main book is a book of vulvas! They are two different things, albeit connected. However, there is a certain humorous clinical vibe from the word, “vagina” which is why I chose it. Also because most people are more aware of the word, “vagina” as well. There’s also the labia minora, labia majora, mons pubis, urethra, clitoris, perineum, and introitus which means, “entrance” in latin, but also amusingly is a type of music movement for religious pieces especially for requiems. Words have a great humor value, especially words with hard, K’s, P’s, or repeated syllables. “Poughkeepsie” for instance. Or “Wallawalla.” Or “Kwyjibo.” Or even the word, “Gooorn;” it’s very “woody.” Not “tinny” at all. “Tinny.” What a dreadful word…
